Linda L. Thelen, M.Ed. created Lindini Enterprises to offer educational tools and games to the public that she designed throughout her 26 years of working with students.

Ms. Thelen started as a junior high English teacher in 1980 and then earned a Masters in Education as a reading specialist in 1989. She started The Reading Detective to help people of all ages with reading and learning problems, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and dyslexia. Ms. Thelen took further coursework in learning disabilities to add a special education endorsement in 2000 to her credentials. She currently works as the Academic Support and Special Education Coordinator for Liberty Common School:  a Blue Ribbon, No Child Left Behind, School of Excellence charter school in Colorado.

The games and tools offered on this website were tested over the years on Linda's students and revised to perfection. Now we offer them to you!

"Keep it Simple Sweetie Series" means the education games and tools offered on this website are just that: SIMPLE! The idea is that by boiling down the content of English, of reading phonics, of basic skills concepts, the student learns the core of basic education skills while the teaching is made easy! Add in some fun, and VOILA! The skills are learned, the teacher and/or parent is happy, and everybody wins...with time leftover for other explorations in life!  

While these educational games and tools are simple and easy to learn and use, the research and content behind them are not. Several sources were used to put together comprehensive, yet core concepts and lists. The English Game, for example, teaches all the basics about the parts of speech, plus gives comprehensive lists of certain words needing to be memorized and studied, such as the listing of the prepositions, or subordinate conjunctions, or the helping and linking verbs, to name a few. Rest assured that the games and tools are backed by experts in the education field.
